I had to travel back home so I called customer service to find out if I could get FP notice earlier so that I could do FP before departure.
Called Customer serivce on November 20th 2007, he generated a SR for me and then there was scilence for next 30 days.
after 30 days exactly on Dec 20th I got a letter saying
"On 11/20/2007 you, or the designated repersentative shown below, contacted us about your case. some of the key information given to us at that time was the following.
..........all the information here for my case/s.............
the status of this service request is:
USCIS service center records show that your finger print results have expired or a clearence has never been received. Fingerprints must be taken at the application support center (ASC) in your area. A notice will be mailed to you indicating a specific time, place and date to appear for biometrics processing at an application support center. All supporting documentation/evidence must be submitted at the time of the ASC appointment."
ever since am waiting for that magical biometrics letter.

Hi,
I received my (and my family's) transfer notice (and hence the WAC### nos.) for 485 application yesterday at my residence. The cases were filed in CA by my lawyer (filing from MD). The cases have been transferred to TX.
I am yet to receive any notice/tracking no. for EAD and AP applications. The checks were made by the lawyer so that is not an option.
Questions::confused:
1) Does transfer mean delay in processing ?
2) Is EAD tracking no. different from the 485 no. ? If so, where can I get that from ?
3) Are they still issuing EADs in about a couple of months ? If so, that is great. If not, when does the 90-day clock start for INFOPASS ? (if it is an option in this incresed activity)
Any answers or discussions or links to the solutions are welcome.

In my case, i do not have a valid H-1B visa stamp. I recently visited India and used Advance Parole. Questions related to this
1) do i need to surrender my PAROLE I-94 before departing USA?
2) does canada immigration officer ask me why i have applied for canada gc while my USA gc is in process?:confused:

If you wanna return to the US from Canada, you either need to have H1B visa or AP.
Your Canada Immigration Officer may ask why you want to settle in Canada and you should have a convincing explanation.

The views expressed in the context of sending grammatically correct letters is appreciated. As such, it would make sense if we can send the same letter, which would not only emphasize the same point but would be grammatically correct as well :)

I am not sure if TSC receiving/encashing 485 application all 5 days. We get few check encashment then lul for couple of day. then again few more...

Wed - AP

Today i added my old H1B (2003) case to my portfolio..i saw LUD on it...LUD date is '14th july 2007'...not sure...14th july is saturday...but no surprise...i saw lot of people posted that their LUD was on weekends....Is it good indication? sorry if i am asking unnecessary question..

My question to you was if no H1B is "permanent" (as you opine), then how can you prove that the AC20 job on H1B is or isn't "permanent?" So if that job is not "permanent," how do you convince/mention that in as RVE-EVL?
Because Future GC job could be same job on H-1B, only difference being on H-1B your job has fixed end date (noted by I-94), and GC job has no fixed end date, hence permanent. It does not make that current job on H-1B permanent.
Temp Job and Permannet Job can have same job title and job duties. Just like contract job and full-time job can have same job title and job duties, but one is employee of the company and other one is not.

The analysis on the FB movement by simple1, et al is based on the current VB. This will result in severe retrogression in the FB categories. Are you willing to assume the burden that comes with classification in the FB category - separation of family while waiting for PD to be current? Think of what it will do to someone who comes to US on GC through the FB category and later gets married to an Indian citizen. The current wait time for that individual is 5+ years and the individual cannot stay with spouse for a long stretch otherwise he/she loses the GC or does not meet minimum residency requirement for citizenship.
