My case was received by NSC on JUN 1st. They issued the recipt numbers on JUN 5th. I am still waiting on my wifes. They could clear on Monday.. Looks like NSC is also trying to speed up things. They are just one day slower than TSC in issuing recepts.

The EB-2 category for Indian nationals has retrogressed four years and will be set at January 1, 2000 for applications received beginning June 1st. If you are from China, the backlog is five years less - February 15, 2005. And if you are from any other country in the world, there is no wait at all. I am really appalled that Congress allows such an unjust distribution methodology to remain the law. No country is permitted to claim more than 7% of the numbers in a green card category. Since you never got an H1-B stamped in your passport, you are not eligible for AVR (since there is no H1B visa to revalidate). You could do AVR for F-1 since you have that stamp but that is also NOT VIABLE any more because you are now not eligible/admissible for F-1.
So your choices are:
1. Come back in with AP (safest)
2. Go for H1-B stamping (approved, you come in with H1-B/ denied you come in with AP)
Both have their Pros and Cons.
Good luck and PS: There have been few people who got RFE because of Canada Landing. When you get the RFE, you have to again prove your intent of immigrating to US. You can show that by a sworn affadavit of your intent to settle in US. Additional, you can show employment ties, property etc. etc. Like we need to show ties to home country before F-1 or other strictly non immigrant visa interview.
But most people who have landed in Canada have had no issues.
So your choices are:

CIR is not going to happen, even if it happens there will be nothing for Employment Based Legal Immigration.
Any large immigration overhaul is not going to work in current economic climate.
And yes, you can not file a law suit for a law that we all were aware of while entering this country. Our 485/131/765 packet was mailed out on July 26th. We received all four Transfer Notices from CSC yesterday, stating that they transferred our cases to Nebraska as my I-140 was approved from LIN. Now waiting for the actual receipts to arrive from Nebraska.

Also, this bill (as per my understanding) does not have to do anything with the illegal aliens and so should not rankle anyone. Also since Cornyn is the author, other conservatives (hopefully) will not have many issues with it and not many will argue about a bill that has to do with American Competitiveness.

As far as I know this is a genuine company and not a typical small desi company.
Did you sign some paper saying that you will reimburse the GC costs if you leave the company? If it was signed before the GC process started then it is not against the law that the company is holding back the $4K. This is a big company and I don't think the $4k matters to them much.
As far as experience letter, they have to give it.
Also, sometimes we get mad at the company even though its our own mistake. So, before filling anything with the labor department, make sure you have not signed the papers. By reporting them you are basically giving trouble to others who are in GC process through them.

And recently came to know that its not just me but there are several other consultants being harassed by them upon leaving the company. Even after years of working with them, they still want to have them hooked and are depriving the cosultants of better living. how justified is that????

I applied my EAD renewal on June 19th and AP on August 1st. Both are approved today(august 20th). The Ead status is Card Production ordered.
