This is NOT what I said in my post. I mentioned "Dependent Relationship". Dependent Visa applies in most cases, though. Example - Your wife could be on F1 or other visa and that is not dependent visa.
Contrary to popular myth, it is ok to file I-485 on F1 visa status.

Can we a contact Indian/American organizations who can lend us support.
1. Today I read news wherein an organization of Indian Businessmen,Lawyers.Doctors are organizing fundraiser for Hilary Clinton. They are giving lot of money for her campaign. These people already have contacts with number of senators. They can help us in our cause at different level.
The Chairman of the organization in the news article Sant Singh Chatwal is a known hotilier in US.

I seriously doubt the genuinity of this poster. No authority will hold a valid passport of a foreign country, no country will allow to let one in with a copy of passport heck the airline will not even allow to board without a passport.

Poor guys... they can give away $7.5 Billion to some country as Aid, but cannot secure their own borders without increasing burden on H1/L1 Visas for $0.6 Billion(not even 10% in comparison ) ....what a pity.... :mad:

I'm not sure of whether or not a company can file for your labor while you are on your EAD. Now i'm curious.

Hi,
My wife is on an H4 and we're planning to change her status to F1.
Now my H1, thus her H4 is up for renewal soon (I have another 3 yrs on my H1).
I will very soon be transferring my H1 to a new company.
I am worried about the implications this might have on the H4 to F1 transfer.
1] When my new company transfers the H1, will they also file for renewal? Or will they only transfer and later renew seperately.
2] Assuming that we change the current H4 to F1, then will we have to renew the F1 too when my wife's H4 is transferred (due to my H1 transfer).
3] Is it better to transfer to F1 from the current H4 , or wait for the new H4 for the transfer.
All advice/suggestion would be really appreciated.

Considering the lowered cost of stock I am planning to gets my hands dirty in stock. But I don't have much knwoeldge about it. Also, by the time I find resouces to learn more about stock, the prices might ahve gone up.

I understand your mother filed for I-140, but did she also file your I-485 and advance parole? If so, as soon as you get your AP, leave the country and return..as a Parolee. Then apply for FAFSA..

You can do that, however, you would find that after 10 years, you are still looking at different US consulates for visa interview but your friends who remained with one employer, got their GC and they have lot more freedom than you do. It is a very difficult question. Either you can move from job to job and get paid more or you just stick to one, sacrifice some money/flexibility but get thing done in one shot.
Worst possible case would be - you realize after 6 years that you should have stuck with one employer!

I think I misread the OP about moving from the flash IDE to flex builder although I strongly prefer both FD and FDT to flex builder..
and no Jeff, it wasn't directed at you although I'm sure you have no idea what you're talking about either :P
